Direct Care Provider

Our team members provide support so residents can live as independent as possible. We encourage our residents to connect to the community by working, volunteering or taking part in groups/activities. We are currently recruiting for compassionate and caring Direct Care Providers to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities

Partnering with residents in all areas of daily life including cueing and assistance.

Maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Maintaining positive working relationships and communicating effectively with co- workers, residents, supervisors, community members, family.


Additional Responsibilities and Duties

Provide services to residents as detailed in the plan of care. This include ADLs, IADLs, housekeeping, laundry, personal care and hygiene.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of care provided.

Coordinate and prepare meals and other activities relating to the nutrition program of the residents as requested.

Lead or assist with resident groups or activities as necessary.

Insure the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the facility. Provide a safe, clean, therapeutic environment for residents.


Qualifications

Previous experience preferred working with survivors of brain injury, providing direct care support or have the ability to be trained to work with residents.

CPR certification or 6 hours of CPR training.

Communicate effectively with staff and clients through speech, reading, and writing in English.

Possess visual and auditory acuity.


Physical Requirements

Lift to shoulder height and carry 25lbs. frequently and 50lbs. occasionally.

Exert 0–10 lbs. of force frequently.

Lift, carry, push, pull, stand, walk, reach, sit, twist, bend and crouch.

Able to go up and down stairs.

Part-time, Evenings and Weekends


Compensation

$10.00 per hour, Plus Shift Differential
