And there is nothing like our outstanding instructors and staff.

We offer group swim lessons for ages 6 months to 12 years. In addition, we offer private swim lessons for persons of all ages.

We are committed to making sure that our programs are effective and worthwhile for everyone. We evaluate our programs and lessons on a regular basis to ensure that each student can move through the various levels of instruction smoothly.

Our instructors are rigorously trained and evaluated so they may bring students the best instruction possible. While each instructor brings their own creativity and style of teaching, the content of their classes remains consistent. NEW! Swim Team Prep Course

April 22 – June 3, 2017       Saturdays 12:00pm–1:00pm       Costs: $100 per student

The Swim Team Prep course is designed to prepare students for swim team by teaching proper stroke techniques, swim team specific skills, and strength and endurance. This course takes swimmers who already have knowledge of and experience with competitive swimming strokes and want to improve on these strikes, The goal of this six week course is to help swimmers gain the confidence, strength, and swim mechanics to join a competitive swim team.

Registration opens Saturday, April 15. Sign up in person. (Please note: No class on Saturday, May 27 for Memorial Day weekend holiday.)

Group Swim Lesson Level Descriptions

Selecting the best class for your child benefits your child and everyone. Our instructors will be happy to help you place your child in the best class for their skill level.

 

Safety Babies

(6 months–3 years)

This class teaches parents and caregivers how to swim safely with your child. The class also emphasizes and introduces safety skills to the child at a young age. Skills such as floating, gliding, passing, submersions, and rolling over are taught.

Polliwog

(3–6 years)

An introductory swim lesson class where kids will learn to develop basic skills such as blowing bubbles, holding their breath, walking through water, and becoming more comfortable with an instructor.

Guppy

(3–6 years)

New skills include bobbing, learning to float on their own, gliding, jumping into water assisted, and introduction to the front crawl.

 

 

Turtle

(3–6 years)

Continues to work on bobbing, floating, the front crawl stroke, and jumping in water—all unassisted.

Seahorse

(3–6 years)

This class focuses on breath work for the front and back crawl with an introduction to deep water.

Jellyfish

(6–12 years)

Students continue to learn skills regarding water safety. In addition, they begin to learn basic techniques for competitive swimming.

 

 

Stingray

(6–12 years)

This class helps students increase endurance, refine swimming strokes and reinforce safety skills.

Shark

(6–12 years)

The goal of this class is to prepare the students for competitive swimming by working on both technical skills as well as endurance.

Regardless of level and ability, private lessons are a great way to get customized instruction specifically designed for you. Whether you have never learned to swim, are a competitive swimmer wishing to refine your technique or someone simply looking for one-on-one lessons, our instructors will work with you to help establish goals and schedule lessons.

Policies

Registrations are taken in person at Hope Therapy Center only. Payment in check, cash, or credit/debit card is required at the time of registration. We are unable to accept phone or online registrations.

Registration opens two weeks before classes start and continues until classes are full (on a first come, first served basis).

Please select classes based on your child's ability, rather than convenience, to ensure quality instruction. If you are unsure of your child's skill level, please talk with one of our instructors. We will be happy to help you select the right class.

No refunds or credits.

Class times are subject to change and may be canceled at any time.

Classes may be added depending on need and instructor availability.
